I. LOGO

1. Yale-NUS Data Science Society

          The Yale-NUS Data Science runs workshops and datathons for students interested in learning about statistical science. The dot/line structure of the logo represents the thought process of data scientists: highly connected and structured. The halcyon shape represents the mascot of Yale-NUS College. The design was settled after consulting with the head of the group: “What are the visual motifs you can think of in the field of data science?”

       2. Hyphen

            Hyphen is an organization dedicated to relationship building between Yale-NUS College and National University of Singapore. The logo takes the representative high-rise buildings of the Utown campus, and connects the two buildings with an orange line — the color used in both NUS and YNC logos. The final image also forms an “H”, which corresponds to the name “Hyphen”.

   3. Aloe

           Aloe is an organization dedicated to raising the awareness of mental health at Yale-NUS College. I proposed a color palette and style close to that of the mobile game “Monument Valley”, which gives out a vibe of a serene fairy-tale. I designed eight different color palettes for the group to choose from, and eventually, the last design was adopted.

   4. “Moca Cares” Volunteerism Mobile App

        “Moca Cares” is a Singapore local app about volunteer information, launched by the Minister Heng Swee Keat. It features a design of two hands coming together to form a heart shape. More information about Moca Cares can be found below in the “UI Design” section.

   5. Elm College Mascot – the Tiger

          I designed three different tigers for Elm College at Yale-NUS, incorporating Elm College’s orange color as inspiration. The three logos were voted at Elm End of Sem Dinner 2017, and the second design won.

II. Printed Material

1. Yale-NUS Orchestra Gala Concert

The concert featured both classical music performances and ballroom dances, hence the ballroom dress and the violin. The poster used a combination of photography, adobe photoshop, and illustrator.

III. UI Design (Web/Mobile)

1. Yale-NUS GO! Mobile Game Demo

          “Yale-NUS GO!” is a mobile in which players can team up to combat fictional monsters as they walk around the campus of Yale-NUS College. This concept design features three warriors from the three colleges of Yale-NUS fighting a legendary monster “Halcyon” on top of the campus.

       I designed this incubator management system during my internship with ASA Advisory, a start-up consulting firm based in Singapore. The system allows start-ups and incubator/accelerator teams to learn about business innovation and connect with experts and incubator coaches.
